A delegation of British companies specialized in managing and sustaining water resources and innovative environmental solutions visited Bahrain in the period between 19 and 20 January in cooperation with Economic Development Board (EDB). The visit is under the support and encouragement of the Foundation "UK Trade & Investment" and under the supervision and organization of “BRITISH WATER ". A leader in the field of water resources management and wastewater treatment that includes 200 pioneering companies in this field. The tour included a series of meetings with senior officials in the public sector to discuss the of exchange of experiences and information and the implementation of the joint projects.
“We always seek in Economic Development Board to attract major international investments in key investment areas. It is one of our main priorities to work closely with the respective government ministries to attract investments and especially in the field of water resources, as this field represent a high importance to the people living in Bahrain. This visit provided opportunity to exchange information and expertise and will create partnerships in the areas of water resources technology and innovative environmental sustainable solutions which are in line with the objectives of Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 " Miss Vivian Jamal The Director of Business Development for the Economic Development Board commented on the visit.
The delegation included pioneering and specialist companies in the sectors of engineering and design consultancies in the field environmental resources improvement, risk management and competitiveness, sewage treatment, technological solutions to recycling and treatment of various resources, as well as design, production and supply of equipment and tools needed to maintain, develop and distribute pipelines of gas and water, in addition to companies that serve different sectors like transportation and energy sectors, construction and water resources, industry and development of infrastructure.
